Shoplifting

Yesterday the team conducted targeted patrols specifically focusing on theft from shops, namely Bayley & Sage and Sainsbury’s. In Elizabeth St.  These two shops have seen a rise in theft, therefore the team wore plain clothes to effectively catch shoplifters in the act! We had great results from the operation and got two stop and searches of prolific offenders. We remain committed to tackling this issue and continue to closely monitor Elizabeth Street to ensure this behaviour is not tolerated.
